Amid the impressive nature of the Pönitz lake district is the vacation resort “Gronenberger Mühle”. Its name comes from the heritage-protected water mill dating back to the 17th century, which today forms the resort’s core and even generates some of the electricity needed there. 

For a perfect nature experience, guests stay in 32 modern design wooden houses equipped with all comforts. SHYN provides cosy and healthy heating. 

A web-based solution for running SHYN allows central control of all devices, simplifies handling and saves costs – removing some of the hassles of servicing the Gronenberger Mühle.

Guest House Horizont

Guest House Horizont – Mondsee in Austria

In 2022/2023, all apartments in the guest house “Horizont” has been re-equipped with Shyn heaters. Right after the installations, it became very clear that energy savings will be high in the same way that comfort will grow. Before Shyn heaters have been installed, the apartments needed to be heated up days before guest´s arrival, an old fashion compared to the very short time Shyn heaters brings warmth into apartments. It just takes a “click” on your mobile and no one needs to be on site.

Another major advantage was that with this decentralized heating system, we have been able to offer only single rooms or small apartments to be rent. There was no longer the need for heating up the whole house or floors with a huge oil consumption while offering only single rooms.

The guest´s feedback was also incredible positive. They felt the warmth like they known from floor heating system, have seen the smart control as independency and loved the incomparable comfort of warmth.

After finishing all installations, we saved around 40% energy in the same way we could increase bookings due to simplify heat control. Another advantage is, that we now dismantle the old wall heaters to improve room design and save space as well as dismantling the oil tank in the cellar.

We calculate the amortization of this investment with under 10 years, disregarded that no more maintenance or repair efforts are needed.

Refugee home in Hamburg

The unoccupied old building is located in the eastern area of Hamburg. This building was planned as a housing for refugees. The installed heating system was old and out of operation. Maintenance and repair of this system wa not clever regarding time and costs.

In total, 15 rooms have been equipped with Shyn heaters to deliver warmth to the refugees in a very short time. Warmth on point!

Zuckerlofts

Ein ehrgeiziges Projekt im Städtchen Barth an der Ostsee: Aus einem alten Zuckerspeicher wurden die „Zuckerlofts“, insgesamt 116 Ferienapartments und eine Gastronomieeinheit. Dass bei der Sanierung eines alten Industriebaus zu einem modernen Apartmentgebäude einiges zu bedenken und zu tun ist, liegt auf der Hand. Ebenso die Tatsache, dass es immer wieder zu unerwarteten Problemen kommen kann.

Einfach gemacht hat es sich der Bauherr dagegen mit der Wahl des Heizsystems. SHYN verzichtet auf den kostenintensiven und aufwändigen Bau von Leitungen und ist im Vergleich zu Zentralheizungen unschlagbar günstig in der Anschaffung. Gleichzeitig sorgt es in den Apartments für angenehme Wärme von der Decke bis zum Fußboden. Und die zentrale, webbasierte Steuerung macht den Betrieb genau so entspannt, wie es die Feriengäste sein dürften.
